Eyeshadows that compliment you!

The very first thing someone notices about you is your eyes. They are a window into the soul and that is why it's important to accentuate them.  Here are some tips and tricks on how you can make your eyes stand out, guaranteed to make heads turn.

Blue Eyes

If you have blue eyes, you should try and avoid blue eye shadow, you should wear the color opposite of your eyes so that your eyes standout. Blue can make your eyes look dull. If you want to enhance your blue eyes try wearing earth tones such as browns with a slight undertone of purple , taupes , grays , and charcoals. If you want to have a little fun I suggest you wear golds, plums, and a rose colored shadow. The coolness from the pink tone eye shadow will be a beautiful contrast to your blue eyes.

Brown Eyes

Picking the right eye shadow for brown eyes is fairly easy, a good place to start would be with a nice green or bronze eye shadow. Green is a great color especially if your eyes are a bit more hazel than brown, something that also works well is a gold-green eye shadow . Brown eyed girls are lucky as they can even pull-off  brown eye shadow, but be careful because certain tones can look muddy against your beautiful brown eyes. If you have gold flecks in your eyes you want something with gold shimmer. You might look in to blues and golds, blue is a bold and fun color to wear and experiment with not only that but brown eyes wear this color the best just make sure you choose the right shade and be gentle with your application…remember less is more!

Green Eyes

In order to get green eyes to stand out wear various shades of purple.
A subtle way of incorporating purple into your eye makeup without going too overboard is to get a purple pencil eyeliner and line your lower and upper waterline. You may also want to try shades such as earth tones with hints of gold, taupe colors, mocha browns, shades of purple and warm colors with orange undertone. Since most green eyes have a variety of different colored flecks feel free to experiment with these shades, these colors also work well with hazel colored eyes.

Grey Eyes

For most eye colors it is important to not match the color to the eye.
However, for grey eyes, wearing darker shades of grey eye shadow actually works to help bring out your eyes, wear deep browns and purples these colors look beautiful on grey eyes. Wear violet eye shadow for a smokey hazy and dramatic Diva Look.

Be creative, and experiment with colors everyone should stay outside the box at least once in a while and remember it's not about what you wear it's about how you wear it.

Belly Button Piercing!

So, I recently got my belly button pierced and I'm going to be talking about my experience, and I'm also going to be answering some questions everyone seems to have about navel piercings!

Where did you get it pierced?

I got my belly pierced at Hairhouse Warehouse in Broadmedows. Everything was very clean and sterile. The guy who pierced me was very friendly, I would definitely recommend going there!

How much did your navel cost to get pierced?

 It cost around about $50-$60.

Did your bellybutton hurt?

Well, everyone experiences pain differently but personally for me it hurt. It was probably a 7-8 out of 10, it was over in a second. The most anxious part was the moments leading up to the piercing. But afterwards it's just sore and very tender, and you have to be careful you don't knock it.

How do you clean your piercing?

I use the Protat: Hygienic Body Piercing Aftercare Spray ( my piercer actually gave this to me and I really like it!) . I spray it on to my piercing then get a q-tip and just gently clean in and around the piercing, I make sure I remove all the crust, dried blood, discharge e.t.c. (a sea salt solution will well work too, I suggest H2Ocean, you can buy it from Amazon. If you don want to buy one, you can make your own with hot water and non-iodized sea salt ) Another way I clean my piercing is I get a q-tip dip it in anti-bacterial soap and carefully clean the pierced area, then get a cotton ball soak it in water and wipe my bellybutton. I like to apply Vitamin E oil around the piercing, just to help soothe it.

What can't you do while your piercing is healing?

  • Avoid touching your fresh piercing, if you must than wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap before doing so.
  • Try not to go swimming  before your piercing is healed because swimming pools carry bacteria which can lead to infection, and also chlorine is bad for the new piercing
  • Don't use Mentholated Spirits, or alcohol on the piercing as they are very astringent and can damage the wound.
  • Don't remove the piercing while it's still healing.

  • Don't hang chains or charms off your navel ring until the piercing is fully healed, they can get caught and tear the wound and mess with the healing process.
  • Only dry your piercing with a paper towel, never with a cloth/bath towel because they harbor bacteria.
  • Try not to wear tight clothes  (during the healing phase) because they can cause the piercing to grow out

How do I know if my piercing is infected?

Well it will be hot to the touch , and dark yellow/green pus will be oozing out! If you notice any of the symptoms than clean it with with sea salt solution or anti-bacterial soap , also use tea tree oil, but don't over do it, only dab a little bit on to the area using a q-tip, this will kill all the germs. It could just be irritated so you wanna get it checked out by a professional piercer first!

.

Where can I buy cool and unique body jewelry?

Piercedfish and Bodycandy are my favorite places to buy body jewelry from, they have a variety of different styles and colors. Amazon and Ebay have really cute ones too!
